Drawing Inspired by Cezanne and His Contemporaries
Inspired by drawings from artists such as Cezanne and his contemporaries, create your own works of art using a variety of drawing tools. Some drawing experience is helpful but not necessary. Materials needed are a set of pencils, erasers, drawing pens and a sketchpad no smaller than 8" x 11". A basic set of watercolor paints and brushes will be used for some of the artwork. Instructor Cynthia Dias is a watercolor artist who has taught art and historically based classes for a number of years. In addition to her artwork that features scenes of Maine and England, she creates textiles that are handwoven at her home in Newcastle. She has worked as a curator and director of various museums and illustrated a museum cookbook.
