October 21: Pownalborough Court House
The final walk of the fall will be at the 1761 Pownalborough Court House, on the banks of the Kennebec River in Dresden. This National Historic Site, managed by the Lincoln County Historical Association, has a well-maintained trail network. We will have a guide to show us the interior of the Court House, as we join a long procession of visitors to this significant site — among them John Adams, Benedict Arnold, and midwife Martha Ballard!
